It’s crazy and amazing how viral this has all become. Rutgers is the biggest college in the country, and the fact that one young man can completely rock us in one event has me floored. Thousands of us have no idea who he was (I didn’t even know his name until today), and yet this is a big wake up call for us all. It’s become obvious that we live in a world low on tolerance and high on judgement. A student took his life because of the ignorance of others. What his roommate did was completely uncalled for, and he deserves any and all punishment that comes his way. Everyone should be able to love who they want to love, regardless of age or sex. The LGBT groups on campus have the right idea. Everyone needs to feel safe and comfortable because, for four years, Rutgers is home. It’s a place where people come to be themselves and be the best that they can be. It disgusts me how people can trash Tyler and other gays around the world. Love is love, and if you and I can have love, everyone else should too.
